Fat Loss Answers

By Jimmy Smith Im going to give you all the answers youll need to burn fat. Enjoy! Q: Ive followed most of your nutrition advice as well as purchased a few nutritional information products. Ive managed to drop a good amount of weight but I have hit a wall. I decided that my carbohydrates were too low so a few weeks ago I began cycling them. I was able to drop a few more pounds but nothing great. Do you have any tips for fat loss? - Nancy A: Your problem can be answered in two simple steps. While I do suspect that you have over dieted, meaning that you dieted for too long that you need to increase your calories. This is a common issue with females but I am going to assume that is not your problem since you seem to have a good idea of correct eating. Here are two suggestions 1) Add in more light active recovery work in. The problem with many dieters is that they simply focus on their weight training and aerobic work, nothing more. While it is true that most people over exercise, not enough people are performing light circuits on their off day or after exercise to further increase their energy usage. It is as simply as going for a walk with a weighted vest on, performing light sled pulling (I typically perform this 1 to 2 times a week at local parks) or adding in light medicine ball circuits. The med ball doesnt have to heavy, 10 or 12 pounds. An effective circuit would look like this. -Rotation throws -One arm wall bounces -Front loaded squats -Throws for distance -Side throw downs Ive had my clients perform this circuit for 2-4 sets of 20 reps and have seen improved results in both fat loss and recovery. Best of all it takes about 5 minutes 2) Correct diet planning. This is another big failure for most people, even those who know that they have to eat every two hours. People just dont plan correctly. If you want to give yourself a chance at success you’ve got to pre-cook and pre-plan. You say that you have a good of nutritional information so I will take your word on it. Q: Help! I went bathing suit shopping this weekend and need to tighten some areas up before I step into the sand. This isn’t a one piece either, help I need to lose fat!-Lee A: I’m going to assume that you have trained hard and are already pretty lean. Here’s some suggestions to lose fat -Focus on your upper back, abs, arms and glutes/hamstring since they are the most noticeable areas in your bathing suit. -Prioritize deadlifts, under hand rows, single leg deadlifts, steps-ups and bridges to bring up your back and glutes/hamstring. -Prioritize heavy reverse and hammer curls for your arms and weighted, heavy ab work to make those areas “pop”. These should make you lose fat fast. Negotiating a Pay Raise

By Corinne Dauncey Negotiating a Pay Rise - Do you think you are not been paid enough? Not being valued at your company? - Do you look at your pay slip and wish you had been paid that little bit more that you deserve? - Do you think you have been particularly successful in your job? And gone beyond expectations? If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, then it is time to negotiate a pay rise. But how do you go about this and what are the best strategies in order to get the best rise? Most companies will conduct quarterly or bi-annually pay reviews for their employee’s, which if successful will result in a pay rise. However, as a hard working employee that is successful, you may feel it is justified to approach your boss to ask for a rise before your review is due. Whatever your situation is, you will have already agreed this is in your contract and know when your pay review will be - and before your conversation with your boss, the key thing to remember is that you must prepare! Before you ask It is advisable to do some background work about salaries in your industry and role and plan your negotiations prior to approaching your boss. You can normally use salary analyzers or something similar on the Internet, or even phone around to ask recruitment agencies for the market averages for your role. You need to really know what you are worth and what you have achieved recently, and why you deserve the pay rise. You will need to explain what skills and benefits you have brought to the company, how you have excelled in your role in particular and that you are a loyal employee. You will need to focus on your knowledge and experience you have developed and the way you have grown, learnt and developed whilst working for the company. You should note any expectations you have exceeded, any additional responsibilities you have incurred and any extra achievements you have made that stand out and you feel you deserve credit for. You need to be able to explain all of these points in detail, expand on any of them in detail and show that these are the reasons why you should be considered for a pay rise! You need to show your commitment and express your desire to do well and tell your boss what you are trying to target and what you want to achieve. Things that you need to consider what you have done when negotiating a pay rise: Projects you have managed, led, completed and have been noted as being out standing Any awards you have received Any procedures you have put in place that may have saved the company money Tasks you have been individually assigned to do due to your unique skills and abilities Additional tasks beyond what you expected in your current job role Anything you have excelled on and been praised for in the past Also be clear as to what your current salary is, what the average is and what you ideally want! How much to ask for? It is a good idea to ask for more than you anticipate and that you give yourself room to negotiate. Expect your boss to propose a counter offer after you have asked for your pay rise sum. You should definitely bargain and you should expect it to usually end up in a middle ground figure so always go in high! What if your boss says NO? Just because you are going for a pay rise, you may not necessarily get it - but do not be disappointed if he says no. Firstly, there is always next time and from the feedback on this review you can work towards the next. You need to understand the reasons why he/she has said no and reflect on them. It is not the end of the world and it is not forever. It may be due to the fact that you are still in the learning curve at work and still developing new skills, in which case, once you feel fully developed; it could be time to ask again. Do not be afraid to ask for non-financial benefits as well, such as, a phone or extra holiday. You could ask for training and development and the company may be more inclined to pay for this, as you will be learning more and bringing more value to the company. Employees are an asset to companies that they work for at the end of the day! If you really feel you deserve a pay rise and you are not happy working at the company, then you can always search for a new job that would be willing to pay you more. It may be that your current company is not suited to you and this is your sign to take the next step. Result! It is a great feeling if you manage to receive a pay rise! If you work hard and achieve great results, they do not often go un-noticed and you will no doubt be rewarded with what you deserve. A good confidence boost, self-satisfaction and self-affiliation will be the result! Good luck! Crossed Wires

By Kenneth C. Hoffman My father always said that I should think before I act but there are two sides to this advice. I was twelve and looking forward to the eighth grade bus trip to Washington DC. For Christmas I received a Kodak Brownie Jr. camera and I bought two whole rolls of film to squander on the trip. It was to be an overnight stay and even though my family owned a summer hotel, this was to be my first real hotel experience. Well, it was a great trip. Some of us even had to sleep in the lobby for dropping water balloons out of a fourth story window. On the bus, after the initial rowdy excitement tapered off, we settled down to sleep. Outside the bus it got dark and rainy, but inside it smelled of wet wool and steam. At one point my buddy asked me what I bought for my parents in the way of a gift. This question shocked me into silence. I had not bought anyone anything, just three souvenirs of Washington DC for myself! The largest item, a bronze replica of the Washington Monument had a thermometer embedded in one side. It cost about nine dollars which was about one half the money I brought with me. Added to the list was a five-color pen from the Smithsonian Institute and a turquoise stone rosary costing eight dollars. I always liked collecting rocks of strange colors and owning five colors in one pen was irresistible. Now I had to decide how to divide the souvenirs among my family. I figured that the Washington Monument had to go to Mom and Dad since it was the biggest and cost the most, and the rosary for my sister, Karen, who was the only religious person in the family. I reluctantly decided to part with my magic pen and give it to my younger brother, Allan. I arrived home at about noon, everyone glad to see me and asking questions. I presented Mom and Dad their Washington Monument gift, remembering that Dad always liked thermometers. Karen was thrilled with the rosary and Allan ran to find some paper to experiment on. Then Mom got a funny look on her face and started crying. She ran upstairs to their bedroom and closed the door. A few minutes later, Dad came storming down the stairs and yelled at me, “Why did you make your mother cry? Where’s that thermometer and come with me.” He raced me out to the back door, got a hammer and smashed that Washington Monument to bits. By this time I was crying and confused. Later, I found out that even though Mom never went to church, she always wanted a rosary of her own and thought I gave it to my sister to spite her. Oddly enough, the turquoise beads turned out to be real and quite valuable. My mom often had feelings of persecution and my dad had a terrible Irish temper. Once for her birthday I gave my mom an oval hand-made rag rug for in front of the sink and instead of thanking me she said, “I know why you bought me a rug, it’s so you can walk all over me!” Me, I didn’t have a clue. My interests include writing, digital art, photography, bicycling and reading. I read four books per week. Self Marketing 101 - Why Students Should Tell Stories

By J.K. Dennis Everybody lies, and storytellers are some of the best liars around. But here is the problem: People like storytellers. They hate liars. The meaning is similar but different. In the South, storytellers sit on porch swings and drink ice tea. Liars stare down the barrel of shotguns. I should know. Im from the South and we shoot liars all the time. Of course, Im lying. But I cant help it. After all, I am a Southern storyteller. I emphasis the adjective because I believe Southerners tell stories for reasons that are not always apparent to our friends in other parts of the United States. Our stories are more than entertainment. They teach lessons and those lessons are always filled with wisdom that is inspirational. For example, everybody knows the old saying you cant teach an old dog new tricks. I bet what people dont know is that it comes from the South. Of course, people in the Midwest will swear its theirs. Theyre lying. If they just happen to be telling the truth, then it doesnt really matter because Ill still say its ours. In fact, we have been using that saying for so long that strong personal philosophies have grown up around it. One man says, You cant teach an old dog new tricks, but you can teach old tricks to a new dog. Then the man sitting next to him will say, What dogs wont learn, cats will. These two men could sit on the porch and twist and turn one simple idea a million different waysand Im not lying. This story illustrates a more complex idea that I want to make about the relationship between storytelling and students. In his book All Marketers are Liars, Seth Godin claims that marketing is about telling a good story. Successful marketers tell us stories that match our belief systems and these stories directly influence our behavior. I understand Godins points. What I fail to understand is why students dont appropriate this behavior when it comes to marketing themselves to themselves. It seems to me to be the most important skill students can develop and exploit. But they dont. Students are malcontent and maladjusted because storytelling has been outsourced to actors, singers, reporters, politicians, and marketers who are not always heavily invested in telling them the truth. These people influence the stories students tell themselves. This influence is why students have stopped telling themselves stories to celebrate their differences. It is more acceptable to be like others. Students have stopped telling themselves stories for inspiration. Religious leaders and talk show hosts fill this gap. Storytelling is in the hands of the folks in New York and Hollywood and they are not giving it back without a fight. My advice to students is simple. Prepare to fight. Southerners are always up for a brawl. After all, we did lose the war. But we learned some lessons that no other region in the United States has ever had to learn. We learned to love ourselves. We learned that storytelling is transformative. It uplifts. It heals. And if we lack influence, wealth, beauty, and fame (qualities all students covet), we always own a more powerful tool. That tool is storytelling and stories are what it manifests. Now, thats the truth. J.K. Dennis has been a college teacher and academic adviser for over twelve years. My Wedding Party Ideals - Whoops I Don’t Have Any, Where to Look

By Jesse Miller Planning your wedding can no doubt be exhausting and stressful. There are endless details to keep up with its hard to imagine forgetting anything right? Well, a very important detail that is easily overlooked by any well meaning bride is the wedding party gifts. Even though this is your day, dont get caught up in what everyone is doing for you and totally neglect your friends and family. Its customary for a bride and groom to provide their best men and bridesmaids with little tokens of appreciation for putting up with their stress and attitudes over the past months, weeks, and days. Wedding party gifts are unique to each person. For example, you wouldnt necessarily give your soon-to-be hubbys little sister the same gift you would give your best gal pal of 15 years. The gifts should be age appropriate and person specific. The maid of honor and brides maids are forever being bullied by their friend for months with usually no apology on the agenda. The wedding reception is the perfect time to show your girls how much you appreciate them putting up with your tears, screaming, and down right bridezilla behavior! Your tokens can be personalized jewelry boxes, charm bracelets, or if you were a particularly hellish bride-to-be, you could elect to send your troopers for a day at the spa on you! Grooms are understandably much less demanding. I mean lets face it all they have to do is smile and nod at every suggestion their beloved fianc spits in their general direction. Dont get me wrong, I know it was a particular trying time for my husband when he had to go pick out his vest and tie colors. None the less, their friends and brothers take a substantial amount of beating from the bride, and they, too, deserve at least a small token of appreciation from the happy couple. I think men may be a little easier to shop for, whats cooler than a personalized pocket knife? If your groomsmen arent weapon savvy, maybe a cool engraved shot glass to commemorate the occasion will do. If all else fails, though, a nice basket with his favorite toiletries and grooming gear will always be a hit. When it comes down to our little helpers, it may be best to start with the parents. If your favorite niece is going to be the flower girl, remember the age appropriate rule, and go for something shell keep forever. A beautiful picture frame with a photo of maybe just the two of you will show her that you valued her part in your special day. If her parents dont object, maybe you could take her on a little girls day out after the wedding. Take her to get her toes done and then on a mini shopping spree. Although your pint-size ring bearer may not welcome a pedicure, getting him a nice pair of white gold cuff links, or special engraved watch would surely make him feel like he was an important part of a very exceptional day. Whether your wedding is big or small, traditional or un-ordinary, make sure you make everyone who helped this day function feel like they are treasured. This will certainly make future in-laws more tolerable and your hubbys college friends a little more reasonable when the inevitable run-ins occur. You can find more ideals that will help you with relieving stress from your wedding day Go to Wedding Favors or she could go to Wedding Gifts To get some great ideals for your wedding like a flagon for the spruce or a Money clip with his name impressed on the front. If you ought ideals for your rare Wedding Accessories go to My marriage Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jesse_Miller http://EzineArticles.com/?My-Wedding-Party-Ideals—Whoops-I-Dont-Have-Any,-Where-to-Look&id=494930 herbal viagra online buy cost low sildenafil buy cheap viagra online now london uk buy generic viagra

Natural Cures Help Keep Us Healthier

By C. Barela Natural healing methods, now known as Alternative Medicine, have been around for centuries. Chinese herbal remedies have become known throughout the world for their healing abilities. Indian tribes have been known to use the barks from trees, plants, and seeds to heal their ailments. Even the Bible tells us of natural things we should use to promote good health. That is not to say Traditional Medicine has no place in this world. The medical world has come a long way. Have you ever tried to perform brain surgery, or replace a limb or heart? Best to leave that to the trained professionals. However, there are many natural remedies that can work wonders for our bodies and can help prevent many diseases. By learning how our bodies work we can greatly improve our health. Our bodies produce millions of new cells every day. By ridding ourselves of bad cells, and what’s causing them, we are well on our way to good health. Many studies have shown that 70-90% of most illnesses, such as irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis, chronic fatigue, and many others, begin in the digestive tract. Doing a colon cleanse once or twice a year is a great way to rid our bodies of toxins that may have been in our bodies of years and have not been properly disposed of. Drinking lots of water also helps to dilute unhealthy toxins and flush them out of our bodies. Some illnesses are caused from a deficiency of certain vitamins or minerals. Taking a good vitamin with minerals every day can help replenish the source that may be lacking. Many berries, such as blueberries and gooseberries, are filled with antioxidants that help promote healthy cells and help to heal the damaged cells in our bodies. Taking fish oil every day helps to keep our arteries from clogging which help prevent heart attacks. There are so many other natural remedies for: yeast infections, acne, and the list goes on and on. When a plant has a bad leaf we pull it off. If our car breaks down or starts running badly, many other parts of the car will start to break down as well, until we get to the core of the problem. The same is true with our bodies. We need to educate ourselves about our health and bodies. Just as we would not leave our children in the care of someone with a nothing more than a good reputation, (most of us would want to check the person out for ourselves), we should not leave our health soley in the hands of traditional medicine. Cathy lives in Salt Lake City and is a freelance writer. She has studied lots of natural methods of healing to promote better health. Weight Loss by Walking

By Alex Fir Exercises are great for your workout program for the reason that they help tone sagging muscles while burning calories at the same time. However, aerobic exercise is one of the best ways to burn fat. A fantastic way to get an aerobic workout is walking. Walking is the most successful and easiest workout we can use in our exercise routine. But you need to know how to do it properly in order to get the most from walking. Here is how weight loss by walking works. The first thing you should do is spend more time walking. While 30 minutes of exercise is great for fat burning, when you walk, you really need to increase this up to 45 minutes, but preferably 60 minutes. However, it might not be achievable for you to fit 60 minutes of walking into your busy schedule, but try walking every day walk a few days for an hour and a few days at half an hour. Rotate them, however. If you walk an hour on Monday, walk 30 minutes on Tuesday, etc. If you can only spend 30 minutes on walking, you need to increase your speed. A leisurely walk is not going to provide you that aerobic workout that your body needs, so step it up a little. But do not go too far. If you cant talk and walk, you are over-exerting yourself and you need to back off a bit. You can also carry some type of weight when you walk. This could be something simple like a small weight, or you can use a couple of cans of corn! Carry them in your hands as you walk and move your arms back and forth in your strides. If you add weight you will also help tone your arms. If you are walking outdoors, take along a walkman and play some upbeat music to keep you walking. It is entertaining and it keeps you going as well. Did you find those tips on weight loss by walking useful? Visit Online Diet Center to read more than 150 free diet tips. Will Your Cell Phone Work in an Emergency?

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Sandra_Landwehr]Sandra Landwehr If you’re one of the millions of cell phone users who count on their wireless phone for emergency 911 calling, You might want to think again…….. Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee that your wireless 911 call will be routed to an emergency call center. Much less, that the emergency dispatcher will have the ability to pinpoint your call’s location. Why? Part of the problem is lack of service. Often, in more rural areas, your cell phone has fewer towers available to receive reception. And, many of those towers are designed for analog calls - not digital. But, since the FCC does not require it, fewer carriers offer analog service — or the ability to connect to it. Not surprising, since much of the carriers’ revenue is dependant on features available only on digital networks. Another problem? There is no uniform Ehanced 911 system (E911) for wireless carriers. The fault lies mainly with the FCC, who has once again neglected to force all carriers to conform their systems to a single technology. Because of this, there are now two very incompatable E911 systems in the works. Nextel, Sprint and Verizon each have cell phones that use the Global Positioning System (GPS) to find a caller’s location. While Cingular/AT&T and T-Mobile rely on a triangulation system. Unfortunately, both E911 systems have their flaws. The GPS system needs a minimum of three satalites to be able to “read” the handset’s location. Accuracy can be hampered by heavy vegetation, mountains or tall buildings. The triangulation system also has its shortcomings. The system relies on the strength and timing of cell towers to determine a location. It too, requires multiple towers for accuracy. This becomes more difficult in rural areas where towers are scarce. To compound the problem, Emergency Call Centers are not equipt with the technology needed to field E911 calls. Most smaller centers lack the funding for the sophisticated equiptment, while others lack the knowledge on how to integrate E911 into their existing system. According to a 2004 article in the San Diego Union Tribune, only about 12% of the country’s 911 centers had the ability to pinpoint the location of wireless phone users emergency calls. Which cell phone is best? Dual band, or tri-band phones, allow both analog and digital frequencies. If a 911 call does not connect in a digital mode, the alternate analog network is available. The FCC mandates that any carrier offering multi-frequency phones, must allow the 911 call to roam to another service if the call can not be completed on their own network. Currently, only Cingular/AT&T and Verizon offer dual or tri-bands for both their service and handsets. Sprint PCS and T-Mobile wireless phones rely on a digital band, but provide an option to roam for an analog signal. Nextel uses the iDEN network for their cell phones. Because Nextel is the only major carrier using this technology, 911 calls may be difficult to “hand off” to other carriers when roaming and may be dropped. 25th Wedding Anniversary Party Games - Mark the Occasion in Style

By Gail Leino When it comes to planning a party, there are few more joyous occasions than a 25th wedding anniversary. Party games planned for the event can really make it one to remember. It takes little more than a bit of imagination to turn traditional games into 25th wedding anniversary party games. Pass the Wedding Present 25th Wedding Anniversary Party Game This 25th wedding anniversary party game is a variation of pass the parcel, and pays homage to the years of freedom you thought you had before you got married. When wrapping the parcel before the party, stick either a small and tacky gift (such as a novelty bow-tie, garter or plastic wedding ring) to each layer, or a slip of paper containing a dare. In the middle of the parcel, put something cheeky such as edible underwear, fluffy handcuffs or a plastic ball and chain. Guests must sit in a circle and pass the wedding present around while music is played and stopped at intervals. The person holding the gift when the music stops must either perform the dare or keep the gift. This 25th wedding anniversary party game ends when someone wins by unwrapping the final layer. Anniversary Trivia Quiz 25th Wedding Anniversary Party Game Prior to the party, prepare a set of game sheets with the number 1 to 25 down one side, and the appropriate anniversary gifts for each year (listed in random order) down the other. In this 25th wedding anniversary party game, guests must pair up, and match each anniversary gift to the appropriate year. This is more difficult than it seems! The pair with the most correct answers (or the quickest pair to get all the answers correct) is the winner. Mrs. Party… Gail Leino takes a common sense approach to planning and organizing events, celebrations and holiday parties with unique ideas for 25th anniversary party supplies and fun free educational party games. She explains proper etiquette and living a healthy life while also teaching organizational skills and fun facts.
